High quality- especially for the price- the weight of a Chinese cleaver makes it much easier to cut most vegetables as it dulls. The steel is tempered to be hard enough for the edge to last a while and sharpens up well for stainless. I did not have the opportunity to test this knife on chicken to see how well it would cut through the bones however.

hopefully the blade keeps a sharp edge for a long time and that its easy to resharpen that will be the real test
