In addition to cooking, I use these for craft projects. I am currently making "plant pokes" for the school fair, and these work great. The loop on one end is perfect for attaching crocheted flowers, funny faces, etc. (They also make great shish kabobs!)

Ordered these for my home kitchen, I like them much better then using the disposable wooden ones. Its much sturdier for bigger pieces of meat or chicken and they are much more cost effective, especially if you make shishkabobs alot.
