It's sturdy, solid construction makes it easy to clip card stock items into tightly. However, it won't hold thicker boards or objects. It's well-made and easy to clean (if needed). In the past customers (who are given a number so that we can bring their food to their table when it is ready) have put the number under their purse or in their pocket which doesn't do us any good. These stands are well made, have a pretty heavy base, and are nice and shiny! They also work for holding signs for bakery items ans retail merchandise. They were a good investment.
